Garnica Performance Poplar with dark glue and an edge appearance similar to birch plywood, only approx. 30% lighter, was actually developed for coating with decorative laminate surfaces. At epicPLY, however, we also offer this special board without laminate. This allows you to obtain the high-quality raw board and finish the surface entirely according to your own vision.

The lightweight core made of European poplar provides high stability at a low weight and is excellent for machining. Its consistent quality makes Performance Poplar the ideal foundation for custom coatings, painting, or veneering.

Compared to our Albasia boards, it offers a slightly higher surface hardness and the typical high-quality look of European poplar – ideal for projects where, alongside weight, surface quality is also a key focus.

Please note that as a raw plywood board, i.e., without HPL coating, this does not have a decorative surface, and occasional dark glue bleed-through may occur due to the production process.

*Important note regarding board format:

Our epicPLY boards have a standard size of 243 x 120 cm. However, to ensure you can use the full, undamaged surface, we ship the boards in a slightly larger format of 244 x 122 cm. During transport, slight damage or impressions may occur on the outer edges, for example due to strapping. These minor blemishes do not affect the quality or function of the board and therefore do not constitute a reason for complaint. If such minimal damage occurs, you can simply trim the board to the specified size and thus use the full, undamaged surface for your project. And if everything arrives perfectly, you have simply received a little bit of extra board from us as a gift!
